I have a 2 year old Interstate Megatron trolling battery and a automatic charger. The battery has seen minimal use. When I charge the battery the charger hits 75% full and stays there, even after chaging all night. I did find the water levels low a few months back, even with the plates. Filled the cells up and it took a full charge. If I put the charger on the cranking battery it hits full 100% with in a few seconds. Is it time to replace the trolling battery? Thanks, Jerry

Jerry -

You can only really tell by taking the battery somewhere to have it "load checked". My guess would be "yes". Unless you buy a very high quality battery, 2 or 3 years is the life that I would expect.

me!

Thanks Scott, I went ahead and replaced it with a AC Delco. Got a full charge and ready for the AM at stick marsh....
