Bass Butt Seats

How do those Bass Boat Butt seats retract into the deck of the boat? I assume it's a post thing. Can you purchase the posts to replace older posts?

On the seat there is a pin attached that goes into a post. The post has a pin that goes into the hole in the floor. When the seat is flush to the casting platform the post has been removed and the seat pin is in the same hole for the post, (in the floor). Usually removed for transporting the boat. There are several types of posts, straight, angled and hydraulic adjustable. And, there are a couple of pin sizes too.
