BASS at Santee Cooper, planning trip

Hey guys,

The wife and I are planning to go see the BASS tournament in SC at the end of March. We will also be fishing Santee Cooper that same week (gonna go mingle with the big boys). Does anyone have any info on boat ramps, the tourny launch, etc.?

Also, my wife will be visiting a friend down there, so I'll have a day free if anyone wants to get together for some fishing. I'm dragging down my boat as well.

I'm off in a few minutes to Murray, but I'll post some information for you later this weekend. I expect that they will blast off from John C. Landing (landing), which is the big tourney site on the upper lake (Taw Caw Creek).



Just remember, this is definitely a big water lake. Also, you can lose a lower unit here faster than you can say Jimminy Cricket, unless you pay attention. Get a good map (like a hotspots map), and PAY ATTENTION.
