Anyone here from around Panama City, FL?

Hey guys, I have to take the family to the beach on the 11th of this month. I'm not much of a beach person. 1 day of it and I'm bored stiff. A little bit of fishing time would make it bearable. Is there somewhere near there that I might be able to catch a bass? Maybe somewhere to rent a small boat for a day? I don't care if it's just a pond.
I don't want to go out deep sea fishing. I'll do some fishing from the beach but, I'd rather be bassin' in fresh water.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllpppppppp. Somebody, please save me.
