    Who's Running An I-pilot?

I've got the new MK Ulterra with auto deploy and store and though I've only done a dozen trips with it, I am very happy so far. The auto trim is also very cool in that it allows you to get into some pretty skinny water which I had fears I would not be able to do. Auto pilot is very nice also in...

    Highland Lake Fishing Report

(Highland Lake is located in Winsted, CT) Hit the waters of Highland Lake Saturday May 27 from about 11:30 till 5 PM. Day started mostly cloudy, then went partly sunny, then back to cloudy. Water temps were around 63 degrees. There was a 12 boat tourney from NJ out there and I talked to a few of...

    Hi Folks!

Figured I would need to re-introduce myself. Haven't been on this site in a very long time. I'm located in CT and run Pski's Angling Adventures http://www.pskisanglingadventures.com . Just bought myself a 2017 Nitro Z18 with 175 Pro XS and outfitted it with the new Minn Kota Ulterra. Real sweet...

    Cell Phones??

I fish to relax and enjoy. The last thing I want to hear is a damn phone ringing. I may bring the cell phone onto the boat with me but it's to be used in case of emergency only. I will turn it on when I want to use it not leave it on for someone to interupt me. Use in tournaments? I don't...

    Monofilament choices.

Teri, You've probably got the P Line Flouroclear. Good stuff. I've been using it on my spinning rods in 6# and 10# Low strech, good sensitivity, and decent abrasion resistence. I'll be re-spooling this weekend with it.

Smallie guys you out there? The countdown is on!

Won't be making it to Dale Hollow (one of these years) but I will get to do 3 days on Champlain this summer and, Candlewood Lake , great smallie lake, is just a short drive away. Good luck on your quest for monster smallmouths.

    First tourney last Saturday . . .

A tip about running in the rain and cold. If your the non boater, and it's OK with your boater partner, sit on the floor facing the back of the boat. Rain and wind goes right over your head! Most bass boats actually have an ideal floor layout for you to sitright in the middle of the boat...

    "Ripping" cranks through weeds

Two ways I know of to Rip the grass. First is the easiest and that is using a floating Rat-L-Trap and heavy line. The floating trap only dives a couple of feet anyhow so you can really control the depth by retreive speed and angle of the rod. The second method is pure bubba fishing. Braided...

Interested in a Fall Rally in PA?

Looking at the rates, Mid to late October may be the best. And them Basses should be putting on the feed bag then.

    Bass Masters Here I Come

Congradulations Teri. You'll have a good time learning. the Federation is a good place to start. Go to Citgo's web site. They sponsor Lucy and Jim Mize on the BASS Tour. We've got a small handful of woman fishing the CT Federation. We even had an all woman club, "Better Half Bass".

    Mike Iaconelli

Teri..................... You're right about the shoes. I was wondering what he was wearing in that pouring rain. Focused on his shoes a couple of times (when he was laying on the deck screaming, haha) Looked to be a gore tex hiker boot.

    Eagle/Lowrance

Power is good not only for reading deep water but with the extro vertical pixels, you'll get better target seperation.

    Flipping/Pitching Reels

I have pitched with ABU 4600C3's, Quantum 600's, Curado 201 SF, and a few other reels. If your learning to pitch, yea you might fiddle with the brakes some, but its all in the technique. It's practice, and lots of it. My pitching reels are in complete free spool. This will allow my bait to...

    Line Question

I tried the P-Line Flouroclear last season in 6 and 10 pound test and was very happy with it. Might be a tad bit more sensative than standard mono and its abrasion resistence was OK though you do have to keep an eye on it. The P-Line Flouroclear is a copolymer line, not a true flurocarbon. The...
