wiring my mv16 for 24v

After a very long tournmnet saturday with a less than desirable trolling motor for the job...I'm buying a new MG from BPS. Thing is my MV 16 is not wired for 24v...so how many wires will I need to run? I'm converting to 6g so do I need to hots from battery to plug or one...anyone got the scoop on what I need to order here?

Is your motor straight 24v? if it is all you need is 2 wires form the back to the front. If its a 12/24 you need 3. Upgrading to 6ga is a good idea as well. To get 24 volts you hook the neg wire to one battery the pos wire to the other and run a jumper form one battery to the other. Take alook at the diagram down below that i drew a while ago so show the hookup.
