When I bought my 2011 Z-6 I was told that there was no wood used in the stringers, transom, or structural support areas. But I was told there was some wood used in the boat design. My question is, where is it? Anyone know?

I noticed that when i installed my power pole that the transom is wood.

did you mount your pole directly to the transom???

most of the wood is in the decking and mounting points ofr electronics. along with the trolling motor pad. at least thats where i noticed the areas when I was rigging my nitros.

No, i mounted the pole on the bracket. There is no room to mount a pole directly to the transom on my boat. I can say that it was the best thing i have ever owned on my my boat. i got a great deal on the pole at hydrillagear.com, i got a sportsman 2 8 foot and a cover. had to special order the bracket from power pole directly. i installed it myself, since its all wireless it was not a hard thing to do, the bracket was the hardest.
