According to the responses to the T/M pedal placement question, it seems that the users and the boating industry have moved towards the stationary pedal placement. I must admit the recessed stationary mount seems like a winner. I sampled one at a boat show and I agree that controlling with the left or right foot is easily learned. I think the after market product Sam is referred to is super but I don't know if I have the guts to cut the deck.
