the peeper stopping with vibration [ big hammer] and wiggleing of wires was tipoff . removed ignition from dash, pried off large amounts of crumbling sealing wax or something , carefully cleaned each prong and terminal,tightened terminals , applied lots of silicone , remounted switch . only one day of fishing weather , and it sure is a nice one. thanks to everyone!!
