? on low water intakes for Optimax motors.

I have a 150 Opti with a 8 in manual Jack. Thinking of going to a bob's machine hydraulic jack and low water intake cone for motor. Anyone have a simular set up? Is the performance worth the extra money to up grade. My water pressure is running about 10 psi at WOT (5450) on a straight run with current set up. Drops to 7 psi in hard corner. My Nitro is a 1997 800 lxs (17'10") with a 99 150 Merc Optimax pushing a 23 pitch Trophy prop. Thanks for any help. Mort
