Had a great discussion with the gentleman at that display yesterday. What an awesome job! On call 24 hours a day from November thru April, just waiting for someone to call and tell you they have a 13# or bigger bass...how cool would that be?!? The rest of the year he's using those fish to breed even BIGGER ones.

I think the lunker program in tx is a great idea. here in ok i think a lot of large fish are caught, even state records, but no one wants to go thru the hassle of getting it on certified scales and all.

in my neck of the woods bass get much bigger, well striped bass anyway

As we all know by now, Texas does it right - when it comes to bassin'. Why more states are not trying to use some of their techniques and programs, is beyond me.



There is more knowledge and insight in Athens, TX, than one would believe.
