What bolt hole location on motor makes the 700LX with a 90hp 4 stroke perform the best? The boat came with a hydro-foil and I removed it and got absolutely no hole shot. When the motor is trimmed all the way down it seems like it sits to low in the water, the upper hood is all that is above the water line. Also can't run full throttle and optimum trim location at the same time, the motor will run over 6000 rpm. I put the hydro-foil back on and am now thinking of changing from a 17 pitch prop to a 19 pitch stainless. Any suggestions or answers to these questions?

Thanks

Gene

Ok, just checked your stats, it's a 2002. The correct motor height is 2 1/4" above the transom, along with a 19" prop. You have a stern heavy boat, no doubt. If consdiering Stainless, look into the hi-five, in a 19" pitch. These are the best props for stern heavy, slow-to-plane boats. ;)

Oh...and BTW.....don't worry about 6000 rpm on THAT engine, it's where it should be....;)
