Eli and I are fishing a local annual spring tournament next Saturday, so we hit the water for practice day today. I got the numbers and as usual he got the size. We were a real team, and neither one lost one at the net, though I had one that just as Eli got the net under him and scooped him up the fish spit the hook! Team work!!
And he's gotten real good at the T-motor, so launching is a breeze, unhook the straps and transom saver, back down, dump Eli and the boat, and he meets me at the boat dock using the T-motor.
Eli and I both each lost 1 realy good fish each, same STUPID mistake on both, we felt the fish hit and start swiming and reeled w/out setting the hook, then when said fishies got close to the boat they opened their mouth and PTUEY there went the hook! So we both said for next week - CROSS THEIR EYES on every hookset!
Also got to try out our new (Present from Beka) culling system from BPS (URL below), it worked GREAT! and made it SO much easier to get the fish OUT of the livewell at the end of the day!
