I have a new 2018 tracker pro guide v165 and I'm looking to mount a battery charger but it says not to mount it on carpet. The whole boat has carpet. Where can I mount this charger? Thanks for the help

I mounted mine in the center rod locker with no issues.

Yep it’s a deep v. [IMG] When I add a 2nd battery for the trolling motor upgrade next year that will go under the rod locker as well.

I ended up mounting it in the center floor storage space. It was the only place that I could mount it with only having 6ft of cable to reach both batteries

keep the space around it free. They need airflow for cooling. That's why they recommend not on carpet, it limits airflow getting behind it. Keep your vests, etc away from it.

I mounted mine under the drivers console on the wall under the steering wheel. Trolling motor battery plugs into the charger. The main battery is charged by hooking the charger to the fuze block on the side wall under the steering wheel. If you need pics, just let me know.
