I find it interesting that MSN.com (and perhaps other more "open-minded" news websites?) are taking steps to almost DAILY highlight gun violence.

Granted, some nutcase walking around with an AK spraying bullets and killing multiple people is definitely news. Today it's a mother who killed her son, then herslef, at a gun range. Yesterday there was an article about how the government needs to do something because the Bush-era relaxation of the Clinton-era laws isn't stemming the flow of blood.

This, to me, seems to be the pattern we can expect to see over the next months and years as the Obama supporters, especially those opposed to the Second Amendment, take steps toward bans, unbearable taxes on ammunition, and other anti-gun/anti-gun owner measures.

Either that, or people have suddenly become more insane and more violent after the inauguration! If so, why aren't we pointing a finger at Washington in addition to the one pointed at the gun?

Maybe its just me, or has anyone else noticed the frequency of this kind of reporting picking up?

So much for the fourth estate seeking truth in a spirit of political independence.

In other news: I heard on the radio yesterday that the new administration turned down offers from at least two financial service firms (banks) to repay TARP money they feel they don't need or don't want. Something like $360 million dollars worth. The administration refused because it apparently wants to dig its hooks into the management of the nations banks and not let go. Repaying TARP funds kicks the administration out as a bank stock/shareholder. I don't know how you feel about that, but if a bank wants to repay money the administration plans to get out of my wallet via taxes - LET 'EM!!

Good golly - it feels like we're sliding toward socialism more and more each day. Leave that crap to France.

One more comment to end my rant on a happier note: Good for the crew of that hijacked ship for retaking it! Toss those pirates overboard - from the top of the ship's mast!! I sure hope they can negotiate the release of the ship's captain, or work as tour guides for a Navy Seal team. ;)

This is exactly what happened after Clinton was elected and we then got the 1994 semi auto ban which had no impact on crime whatsover. Any time some nut shoots someone or there is a drug lord shoot out in Jaurez we can count on the media to pump up the need for more gun laws. They love to take a tragedy and mold it into their agenda. Won't be long and Sarah Brady will front and center with her BS.

the instable-minded who are perpetrating these insane acts against family and coworkers are playing right into their hands. its a feeding frenzy in the media.. they likely frothing over the news feeds they get waiting for the next new incident.

I too am a dangerous weapon!!:lol::lol:

Police: Man cut and stabbed after flatulence fight

From Associated Press

April 08, 2009 2:51 PM EDT

WACO, Texas - Police said a fight over flatulence left one man stabbed and another facing an assault charge. A statement Wednesday said police were called to a motel where several men from the Houston area were sharing a room. Police said a 35-year-old man allegedly passed gas in the room Tuesday night.

Police said one of the other men became upset, picked up a knife and threw it at the 35-year-old man, who was cut in the leg. The suspect was accused of then stabbing the man in the chest.

The 35-year-old was taken to the hospital and police said he was treated for non-life threatening wounds.

The alleged attacker was arrested and faces an aggravated assault charge.

That's what happens when a country elects a socialist/paracommunist president.

MSNBC is one scary place to visit. There must be some serious drug use going on. Everyone needs to visit there for about an hour to see what we are up against as a country.
