Jerry, I had one before it was stolen. I really liked it and plan on getting another one. The one I had was a Shakespear but I see Humminbird has one for a hard to beat price. Don't know if it is any good or not. The Shakespear was great. I could get the weather broadcasts in a northern lake area that you can't call out of with a cell phone. I also would take it on trips in the truck and keep updated on the weather. They say if you fish big water to get the standard VHF with an antenna. I only fish inland lakes and rivers and mine always worked great there.
