going to fish the BFL wild card on wheeler lake on NOV2-3 any locals thatare not in the tournament want to help a guy out I have never been there and would like a good starting place. Ive been doing some reading the last strein series in nov 06 was won with spinner baits 3/8-1 oz white is this still a viable option or is ther some other tactic mor feasable this year

i am a spinner bait junkie but if i have to slow down to a ultra slow craw i love flipping a jig.

any help is welcome thanks in advance

I don't have any experience on Wheeler, but I fish Pickwick and Kentucky often. (also on the TN river system) That time of year the shad (4"-8") will move into the bays and school and the bass will follow. The other main thing to look at would be the cuts in grass on Decatur Flats. Sorry I can't be of much help other than that.

"Thread Hijack Alert"

Hey Velcro,,,when do the big smallies come in down at Pickwick ?
