don't do this. wiring in depth finder. do not use + - leads that go to trim motor! this will turn the depth finder into a switch that turns the trim motor on and will fry the depth finder.

Thanks for the tip. I had done this on my boat and my depth finder kept acting up. It would sometimes not work. After reading your tip, I rewired and problem solved
