Guy's are they away to lube the cable on your trolling motor ? I swear at times I want to throw mine in the lake it gets so hard to turn it seems. I have Motorguide insalled by Tracker on my 640 Nitro. By the way thanks for all the input on the trailer bunks ,built them put them on there great. Cant tell them from factory.

Lowes for the carpet and stainless stables and treated 2x4 and they had the galvanized lag screws. I got good measurements off the old ones before discarding I'll use smooth head shoulder bolts next time.

It might not be a lubrication problem. My 20 year old MotorGuide cables have never been lubed and still work smoothly. It sounds like an adjustment problem.

I did a little adjustment on the shaft heigth and secured the foot control firmly to the deck seemed to help a bunch.
