I have loaded and unloaded my boat about 16 times total. Already the bunk carpet is worn on the corners and it looks as though the hull gel coat is wearing down because I see it on the bunks. Has anyone tried the screw on Trailer guide slides? Do they work, or will they damage the hull?Is this normal? (04 NX750 115)

Hi Jaws

I have noticed gel coat on my bunks as well and assumed that this is typical. My boat is 4 years old and it hasn't led to any problems.

I have an aluminum boat and have used the Trailer Guide Slides for most of the year with no visible wear to the hull. Not sure if it damages the gel coat of a fiberglass boat.

I have heard stories of the slides working TOO well.Make sure to leave your winch strap hooked up when baking down the ramp.

I had the same problem with my 640. The slides work great. I would reccomend them.
