Has any one installed a minnkota talon between transon and motor on Z-7 and what size offset did you use.

I have a talon on mine it is a 2009 z7. Give me a day and I will send you a picture of it. I will measure the bracket. I had the people at bass pro look up the bracket I needed. They did not carry it so I had to go on line and get it. It worked perfect. Go to the MK site and look at the brackets they list.

Ok bear with me. I am going to try and load the pictures. You will see how much room the bracket give the motor to turn to the left. There is 13 inches of clearance with the motor straight this is plenty of room to turn to the left. There is 3 inch clearance between the talon and the back of the boat. The hight is adjustable. Hope this helps.

By the way I went with the 8ft talon. Easy to install. I have the bracket put on by BP because I did not have a way to hold the motor up. It cost a $100.oo to get it done. You will also need longer mounting bolts for the motor because of the thickness of the bracket.
