Just an FYI if you have a Dicks near you they have sale on the old style Avids for 99 bucks, the big question is save 60 bucks or get the new 08 avids with the IPC techonogy.

How good are these? Are they spinning rods? I grub fish for walleye and sauger, and need a really sensitive rod to feel the "pick up". I have a 6 1/2 ft MH Team Daiwa V rod that I just LOVE (I can't find another one anywhere), and if I break it I don't know what I'm going to use since I don't like any of my others for this application. I have at least half a dozen other IM7 and IM8's, but they don't hold a candle to the Daiwa rod for sensitivity.

They a great rods most people that use them compare them to top of the line Gloomis Rods, they have both spin and cast styles . I have Med Lite for Grub fishing and it is my favorite rod.
