Fished at a different lake two weeks ago. When pulling the boat and trailer out of the water I left the motor trimmed too low and ground the heck out of my skeg.

I did some research and found the Megaware SkegGuard. It was easy to install and looks good for a repair.

Hey OldDude,
Did you see the skeg cover that is all polymer and it's put on with a adhesive? I have one on my flats boat after I hit a oyster bar and didn't want to drill holes in my lower unit.
 
That's pretty cool looking. It seems like it's one size fits all with some fitting required.

The one I bought is engine make and model specific.
