Serial number for Bob

Hey Bob,

I thought I've read on here of you being able to run motor serial numbers to look for possible issues. Can you do that?



The motor I'm looking at has a serial number of 1B349690



Is it also true that a Mercury dealer should be able to provide a computer printout of the engine history and performance info? Is the printout something an average person can decipher?

Justin, you have mail. The CDS printout provides hours use, faults, and systems analysis. Without a Tech to decipher the printout, it could get a little scetchy, but doable. If you get the printout, you could fax / scan / e-mail it to me and I can do it for you!! INSIST on it!!!
