Rod Length

I just pulled out my old Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000C and after a little TLC, I have a good functioning baitcaster. It does need a new rod though. My question is what is the best rod length to use for general use?

It's all personal opinion but I would use a 7 or 7-6 rod with medium action. Great jigging setup that way or split shot setup.

Very nice reel. This collector ranks it right up there with a 6500 C (mint) that sold on EBay for $1500.00.
