Rod Holders on 700lx Bass Boat?

Using LX700 Nitro to fish catfish tournament trail. Was needing to install some rod holders cause it is hard to hang on to 7 rods at the same time. Thinking about putting the new R-A-M Rodholders shown on pg. 231 of BPS Catalog onto the top cap which raises a couple of inches above the deck. Anyone else done this and will the fiberglass support the rods without damage to the boat. Anyone else have any ideas besides a different boat (I'm not giving up my nitro bass boat!).

I had installed the Roberts Deluxe Rod Holders in my Nitro 180 just for catfishin'. I used the side mounts and stainless steel bolts and locknuts with washers to mount them on the inside edge of the hull. Never had a bit of trouble with them. If you go this route, be sure to buy the "Deluxe" - the standard holders won't accomodate the thicker handles of the heavier rods.
