Retractable Safety Cables---won't Retract

Fishing Guntersville and my boat buddy didn't put the trailer completely on the ball...so the trailer come off first thing. Didn't actuate the brake, but the retractable cables are still out about 20". Anyone help? It's a 2010 Nitro Z9 trailer.

Just had the same thing happen to me this week. Did you get resolution or figure out how to repair or replace retractable cables?
