Porpoising and slowing down

Hi,

Last week I posted a meesage about my problem with bouncing left and right and you all helped me with that. Now I have some more things. Once I'm out of the hole, I'll trim up a bit to steady things, now I'm porpoising, I think that's the term, what I am doing wrong. It was really bouncing pretty good. I kind of liked, it was like an amusement park ride, but my brother was freaked out. Also, what is the proper way to slow down?

Well, you will get a better answer from others but when "porposing" happens to me
I trim down till it settles out, I gather this has alot to do with water conditions
so the more choppy it is, lets I trim down, calm, more i can trim up, but
I still have to trim down to avoid bounce.

As far as slowing down.. well, just my view.. I throttle down and trim down
at the same time. When my bow goes up, I trim it all the way in.

I am going to go for a stableizer tho (the fins on the plate) and
see how much better it does.

Floyd,

Have you tried driving through it I.E. Punching the throttle.

Porpoising can be real dangerous and not fun, you have no boat control.

Your motor may need to be adjusted up or down a bit because
you are not gettng enough bite in the water, or try driving through it.

As for slow down back off slowly and trim down slowly.
