Is the problem with uploading pics and photo's etc ever going to be resolved or should everyone be looking for an alternative photo programe?

I use photobucket myself. At first I resisted but for sites like this one, it actually works out quite well. I know on BBC (bass boat central) it'll let you upload pics, but it puts them in thumbnails and you have to click on them to expand them. I want people to see an 800x600 photo for that clean visual effect. Plus on photobucket I can edit the features.
