On Board Charger Installation and Types

I am going to install an on board charger in my 1996 896 and have a couple of questions: Where should I place it? What should I use to attach (bolts, screws, adhesive)? What amperage should I use per bank? If the battery type matters for purpose of amperage, I am using the new Optima batteries (gel/sealed). Thanks for your input!!

I put a Guest on my boat about 3 yrs back... and have never had a problem what so ever with it, the place i mounted it was right below where the cables come out to connect to the motor,just shoot a couple screws in to hold it on... also you may want to put a flush mount connector through the hull in the splash well to plug into it..... those are available at Bass Pro for like 10-15 bucks... saves alot of time... and especially in the winter when back hatch is frozen down... saves the hassle... hope this helps
