Oil leak

My 2007 XR6 150hp motor is leaking oil under the cowling. Any recommendations?

That's not very specific. But I would look at all the hoses and pumps.

Thanks Pat - I have filled the small oil tank above the engine 3 times in the past three weeks - I will check the hoses - not sure what the pumps look like but will try to find out. Much appreciated.

My 2015 250 Pro XS had the same issue twice , first it was the oil tank leaking after getting that fixed the oil pump started leaking , had to get it replaced as well.

Hey Gary, your 2.5 XR6 carb. motor has the aux oil tank on top with a cap and 2 wires coming out look close at the cap they crack and leak oil.

I suspect you have a cracked cap or a cracked hose or a crack in the emergency oil reserve tank itself. If you are having to fill it manually, that means the is NO vacuum to pull it from the main oil tank. How far down the oil level goes on the emergency reserve tank should give you an idea of the approximate level of the leak.
