Hello all. I have been trying to figure out how to get better performance out of my Nitro.
Looks like I sorted it out.
09 NX898 with 08 mercury 150EFI 2 stroke.
Mercury tempest plus prop 22p cupped.
Hole shot is nice and WOT gets me 56+ mph at 5500 rpm.
Only got 52mph at first with WOT at 5150 rpm.
Then I found that the throttle cable was not allowing the throttlebody to open all the way up.
Adjusted throttle cable and now all is good.
That's with boat loaded for fishing, 1/2 tank fuel and my 330lb but in the boat.
Rides like a dream now.
