Need help on Flies for Northern Pike

Gang -O.K., less than 8 weeks till I fly into my bi-annual dream Canada trip. Going to try something new this year, am planning to take my 9 weight Fly Rod and try for some Pike on flies. I'm real new to Fly Fishing and would love some of you Northern guys/gals (especially you Canada ones) to give me some suggestions on what I buy as flies (dry, wet) for Pike. We'll be up in Western Ontario north of Lake of the Woods the first full week of September (Labor day week).

Hey trepman,



I've been trying my fly rod a little mor often this year myself. I've never hooked into a Northern though, not even on a regular rod. The smallies have been fun on it.
