On my '96 Nitro 160 TF it has a '98 Mercury 90. What was the original outboard on this boat? Anybody got any ideas? Was it a 90 or something smaller? Any help would be appreciated.

Most back then was sold with a 60hp. But max is a 90hp. I had a 640 back in 2001 and 2 months in. I switch to the 90. Made a huge difference. Wish I still have that boat.
