I have to force the hinge door shut to screw tight. Does not seem right? Is there an adjustment for different size motor shaft?

Stowed, when I pick it on the mount and try and close the hinge door, I really have to lean on it. It just doesn't seem right that it is that tight, I'm afraid I'll strip the screw that holds the door shut

When the motor is stowed, it is done under tension by bending the shaft some to keep the motor itself braced on the mount so it won't bounce around when hitting waves/wakes. If you open the mount like the motor is deployed, you won't have any problem closing the hinge. Just common sense.
