Minn Kota Maxxum

hello all I have a trolling motor question has anyone ever changed the cord on a minn kota maxxum and if so what is the trick to getting to the release latch mine appears to be compartmentalized thanks in advance for any help with this

Pull a You Tube video on the replacement- They have some good tips and likely have the Maxxum illustrated.
If you can stand it, get you one of the steel cords with a full handle. You won't have to worry about that anymore.

I scoured youtube and they show a ton but not that particular model but thanks for the response I'm sure there has to be a trick to it I just cant seem to solve it

To get to where the knot is, tilt the motor about half way. I
