Does anyone here run their local wildcat or club touney? I need some advice on what to watch for (not that these guys would cheat but...) and how to get participatants interested for a weekly tournament. We had a good base turn out last year but we would like to increase our attendance.

Above all else, run an ethical and fair tournaments and they will come!! Make sure your rules are clear and concise and not open to interpretation. Immediately DQ any violators and/or penalize accd'g to your rules (i.e. dead fish penalty, etc) and you'll have a respectable tournament that will draw fisherman from all around. Integrity and fairness will make your tournament trail a success.....word of mouth and your trails reputation will make you or break you,...so as long as you stick to your own rules and everybody knows you will...you're all set!!
Good luck and here's to a bigger and better trail every year!! Tight lines!
