Live Well Problem

2012 Nitro Z-7 live well will half-fill without pump. Plug is in. Thought it was cause I left it pulled out to empty, but doesn't matter it will half-way fill even if not in use? Could this be from water rushing against back of boat when you get off plane? Any ideas this is new one on me?

its caused by water coming thru the overflow when you back up. It's normal...



This has happened to me on every boat i have ever owned.

I also just bought a new plug from BPS that have a small lever on it, you stick it in and flip the level and it actually seals, the one it comes with constantly allows water to seap up through it.

Yup on the new plug, I don't flip the lever, just put it in and turn until it is tight. Stopped the water in the live well problem.
