Live well assistance!

Hello,
I now own a 2005 901CDX and cant find any info on live well operation.
The each well has two sets of levers, pumpout/recirculate and empty/fill.
On the console there are two switches, one appears to pump out the well and the other looks to fill or recirculate.
Any advice on proper operation?

I have a 2003 Nitro 185 Fish and Ski and cannot get the rear livewell/cooler to work. Does anyone know how to access the pump?
