I use Lews Speedspool baitcasters, and have not had a problem, until today....first cast this evening, reel would not take in line...line guide moves slowly side to side, but line doesn't spool....heard a slight grind and clicking noise, so I stopped winding....reel is a little over a year old, and I keep my equipment well maintained, oiled, and clean....any suggestions would be much appreciated.

My experience from over 40 years of fishing reels. Send it back to manufacturer. Make sure the drag is tight first. I've tightened them the wrong way(loosening instead of tighting)

Thanks for the replies....all fixed up now....somehow got something jammed up between end of thumb bar and casing to where I couldn't see it, so it was not popping up when handle was turned...cleaned it up again, now it's back in business.

Thanks again,

Eric
