90 hp Mariner, think it's 1990. RPM under load will not go above 3500 RPM.
Question 1 - found operator safety switch in the on position. is the supposed to shut the engine off or reduce the RPM?
I thought it was supposed to kill the engine in case the operator falls out.
2 - Oil Tank Sensor, since that is connected to the purple wire (I beleve that is an ignition wire) if that is bad or sensing low oil, would it put the engine in Safe mode?
At 3500 RPM the engine does not sound like it's missing.....
