Help With Newly Purchased 190 Ultra

Just picked up this 1994 ultra 190. Having some cavitation issues when making a hard turn, and while at full speed.

Question: is this the original motor?

What can I do to remedy this issue.

Seems like the motor might be sitting too high.

Yeah, without a jackplate that motor shouldn’t be that high. Drop it down one hole. To start with. But Iam thinking two will work best.

Motor is all the way down.

I that case it’s the wrong lower unit. That is a 20” and you need a 25”
