Anyone had experience with the hatch covers sold by BPS. My son and I are going to strip out a Jon boat and convert it to a bass platform. We need something to do while our lakes are being killed and restocked. Below is a link to one of the hatch covers we were looking at. We want to build the decks and install all of the storage compartments then fill the spaces with Urethane expanding foam for flotation. Our concern is will these hatch covers hold up being in the deck if people are walking on them?

I used the Tempress hatches on the old whaler sport that I decked out as a mock bass boat. Walked on them all day long without a problem. They are a very strong and water tight platform.

Thanks I was hoping they would be. We have a BPS right here so we wouldn't have to order them.

I used the "Utility Hatch" pictured on the right together with the "liner". I walk on it constantly and I am a "big guy"... 270lbs! No fear even at the size I used... 30inches.

That is good news Greg. I was going to use one of the 30 " hatchs as well as a couple of the smaller ones. I am not exactly a small person any more myself. Thanks for the input.
