Hard Steering 05 Nitro NX882 Merc 150XR6

My steering is getting hard to turn. At idle turns OK. Once on plane it is really hard to turn the wheel in any direction. Is this normal? What can I do to make it easier? Is there lubing areas on this motor steering shafts?

You can try and lube it, but you'll be back next year. You may want to go with hydraulic steering.

If it turns ok at idle then you have steering torque. You need to probably trim down a little once you are on plane. My 929 steering was like a rock if I trimmed too high once on plane. There is a "sweet spot".

Yep...even my 185 with a 90 is a bull until you trim up a tad but, once your WOT and trimmed she drives like a caddy
