Went fishing for the first time this year and had a very tuff time water rising quick muddy and cold 48/50 deg. any suggestions to try this weekend.

I'd Rat'l Trap (1/2 oz. chr/blu) sunny pockets and shallow points late in the day (after a good bit of sunlight) and stick with a 3/8-1/2 oz. (depending on current) blk/blu jig'n pig as my primary bait, saturating casts on any wood cover on the main current breaks with that jig like it's my job. Tough conditions like that tells me to pick a concentrated area with all the benefits (current breaks, cover, depth change, etc.) and pick it apart piece by piece, straining the bites through a sifter of carpet bombing casts in that area of highest likelihood of productivity. Good luck! ;)
