I noticed the other day that after about 400 miles of towing I’m getting some paint chips on my new red v175 tracker. It’s kind of odd to me beings I have towed my javelin boat thousands and thousands of miles and never noticed a rock chip on that. The one solution I was looking into was having the waterline up portion of the boat painted with clear chipguard or possible the whole thing unless someone things it will cause a water dragging issue
I also want to do the top of the gunwals because my kids climbing in and out on the dock have scuffed the tops of them.

Has anyone one else attempted this. Or have some other solutions. My truck has mud flaps but I live on the end of a 6 mile dirt road.

I also looked into 3m clear bra for the top of the gunwals but had a bad experience with it once and don’t really want to deal with that again
