Charger update

Hey guys, my new XPS charger came in yesterday. The problem WAS the old charger. Turns out, that in the mess of wires from the previous owner, it was only a 1 bank 12v charger trying to charge a 24v system. New charger works great. The directions said to mount it 8" clear on ALL sides for proper cooling. I didn't have that space but it is in roomy and well vented space. Should be OK right? Now I'm just waiting for the new motorguide and the ice to melt.
