98 Tracker jet drive - Live well operation

Hello All, I have a 98 tracker Jet drive.
the live well has a rocker switch, I am not sure what the difference is in the up or down position?
also the drain does not seem to keep up with the pump. the live well will fill up and overflow into the back of the boat. When I pull the stand pipe when on the trailer it drains quickly. Is the pump pushing too much wateR?

As for the switches mine has a fill only and a water circulate option. The latter keeps fresh oxygenated water circulating through the live well at a lower fill rate. My guess is you are using the fill side of the switch and the drain can't keep up with it.
Either that or there is something obstructing the over flow drain hole. Maybe run a 14 gage wire through it and see if it works after.
