I am looking at buying a 2013 Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW. I was thinking u

Of upgrading the motor to the 75 h and the trolling motor to 55 lbs trust.

Would you recommend this?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks for your input!

Yes for the outboard.

A 70# or 80# Variable speed 24V trolling motor.

24v would be nice, but I don't think there is room for another battery.

Yes, it is if you re-arrange the way Tracker does the batteries.

Several on Bass Boat Central are using 24 volt trolling motors with their 175's

Thanks, good info to know!

Would you stay with the Minn Kota edge or maybe the maxxum?

What about an auto bilge pump?

I use Motor Guides, I don't like the foot pedal on Minnkotas.

Of those two, I would recommend the Maxxum for the variable digital speed control. Longer battery life.

The boat already has a bilge pump, you just need a float switch or electronic water sensor to turn the pump on.

Are they guys running 42" or 52" trolling motors? The Tracker comes with 45" but Minn Kota Maxxum only comes in 42" or 52" shaft lengths.

You also mentioned Motor Guide. Which model is would you recommend?

Thanks!

I use the Motor Guide Tour series = metal foot pedal, dual cable steering, and variable speed. 45" shaft.

42" is plently long for the 175.

If you fish waters that require the 52", you have the wrong boat.
