2007 175txw Repower To Evinrude 90 Etec

So my 60hp 4s Mercury gave out after owning the boat for 2 years.(im 2nd owner) Apparently some of the China Mercs have some exhaust parts, etc. That are no longer available. Rather than have a $2,281 repair bill on an engine that would eat **** in the next 1-2 years due to corrosion on parts NLA, I bit the bullet and will have a New Evinrude 90HP Etec installed and on the water in 5 days. Does anyone have experience with a 90 on the back of a 175TXW?

I had a 90 HP Merc on a 2000 Champion bass boat that performed very well. I purchased as a second owner as well. Top end speed was 42 MPH with gear and two people.

Well she topped out at 46 mph and gets on plane in about .7 seconds. Very happy with the Evinrude Etec. Plus it is much quieter than my 60hp four stroke
